PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix couple has claimed a $3.3 million Arizona Lottery jackpot.
Robert Brito says he and his wife Anna waited two weeks to come forward because they wanted to get their finances in order and prepare to responsibly handle their windfall.
He says the couple has invested the winnings and it will go to a trust fund for their whole family.
The couple elected not to take the lump-sum payment and instead will get about $110,000 annually for 30 years.
Robert Brito says he bought the winning ticket for The Pick jackpot at a Glendale convenience store on his way to work.
The drawing was on April 26. When Brito heard the winning numbers, he asked his daughter to look over the ticket and make sure it was the winner.
