Phoenix school worker accused of having child porn

PHOENIX - An elementary school worker was arrested Tuesday after an investigators found more than a dozen child pornography images downloaded on his computer.

Travis Scott Kinkaid-Mata, 27, from Buckeye worked in at Longview Elementary School in the library as part of a work-study program through Anthem College.

According to court records, the images were found downloaded on his computer and cell phone.

Kinkaid-Mata admitted to law enforcement that he had downloaded images depicting children as young as infants engaged in sexual conduct with adults, he also admitted to viewing images of child porn for years, and said he was aware it was a problem.

Officials were alerted about Kinkaid-Mata after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding 18 images of child pornography being uploaded to their servers.

The email address used to upload the images belonged to Kinkaid-Mata.

According to Osborn School District Superintendent Patricia Tate, to her knowledge, no Longview students were involved in the crimes.

She said that the district is complying with police investigators in the arrest.

Kinkaid-Mata's bond was set at $25,000.
