Pima County Sheriffs capture suspect with help from eyes in the sky

TUCSON-Pima County Sheriffs successfully locate a suspect in a runaway car early Friday morning, with the help of an aircraft.

Suspect Anthony Medina ended up in the desert in Three Points, near Ajo Way and Marstellar Road around 1:30 a.m. Deputies used their fixed wing aircraft, "Survey 2," to give the location of his vehicle.

Once they found him, they tried to stop him by flattening all four of his tires, but he managed to continue driving for a while.

When he finally stopped, deputies got Medina and four other people out of the car and arrested them.

Medina faces multiple charges, including four counts of felony endangerment, unlawful flight from law enforcement, driving under the influence, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and driving on a suspended license.
