ELOY, AZ - Seven undocumented suspects who fled from deputies were arrested Tuesday.
A deputy on the westbound side of Interstate 10 tried to pull over an SUV after noticing an equipment violation, a release from the Pinal County Sheriff's Department details.
The driver failed to pull over and instead continued to flee, swerving through traffic, according to the release. The suspect hit speed of 90 mph until getting off at Toltec Road.
Ten suspects jumped out the vehicle and jumped a nearby canal. The driver and two other suspect were able to escape heading south on foot into the desert.
One of the 3 arrested suspects, 19-year-old William Texin, had previous four previous deportations from the U.S., according to the release. Texin also had previous arrests for aggravated assault, assaulting a peace officer with a firearm, false imprisonment and narcotics possession.
