PHOENIX - A bomb threat has grounded a flight at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The United Express flight 5573 was headed from San Francisco to San Antonio when it was diverted to Phoenix for a bomb threat, according to a Sky Harbor official.
The flight was operated by Skywest Airlines for United Express, and landed at the airport at approximately 4:45 p.m. Thursday, said Julie Rodriguez, an airport spokeswoman.
Rodriguez said the approximate 25 to 30 passengers were escorted off the plane and will be bused to a terminal while authorities conduct a sweep of the plane.
Officials were searching the luggage after passengers exited the plane. A bomb squad is headed to the scene.
