TUCSON - Tucson Police need the public's help to find a man they say tried to rob the Wells Fargo Bank inside the Fry's Grocery Store in the 2400 block of north Swan Road.
Police received the call Tuesday about 2:30 p.m.
Police determined the suspect entered the Fry's, selected food items and walked to the Wells Fargo counter inside the store. They say he placed a paper bag on the counter, stated it was a bomb and demanded money from the tellers.
The suspect fled ran off prior to receiving any money and left the bag at the counter. It was later determined to not be dangerous.
The suspect was described as an African-American male, mid 30's, 5'10" to 6'1" tall, 150 to 175 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a fisherman's hat.
Anyone with information is urged to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
