Quieter Monsoon day after a stormy weekend

TUCSON - Relative calm after last night's big storms.

Morning clouds and a stable atmosphere leads to a slight chance of isolated metro storms today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Areas east of Tucson should see a better chance of scattered storms, as skies are clearing quickly. If storms move in to the metro, they likely do so late this afternoon & tonight.

A low pressure trough off the West Coast helps to trigger a daily round of storms this week. Tomorrow appears to be the more active day, with scattered storms possible area-wide. At the very least, isolated storms are expected mid to late week. This forecast may change, as models are differing greatly on this week's storm chances.
