TUCSON - Rain finally hit the majority of Tucson late Friday morning and early afternoon.
Monsoon 2013 is off to a roaring start with many cities, such as Douglas seeing 700% of its average July rain to date.
It was finally Tucson's turn.
Davis Monthan received 0.35", 0.43" fell in the Foothills, 0.55" for Oro Valley and Marana took home top-honors with 1.40" of rain on Friday.
Most of the rain ended around 1:00 p.m. and the weekend is looking relatively dry.
According to Chief Meteorologist Matt Brode, we can expect another uptick in the monsoon as soon as next Tuesday and for much of the remainder of the week.
