TUCSON - Temperatures will go from near twenty degrees below average this weekend to about twenty above average later this week.
Daytime highs made a nice rebound this afternoon rounding out the weekend in the mid 60s, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. The 70s are back Monday with sunny skies, an afternoon breeze and a sharp rise in temperatures dominating the upcoming week.
As a strong ridge of high pressure builds into the region we'll soon be seeing the warmest temperatures of the year so far. A forecast high of 89 on Thursday would break the previous record of 87 and a high of 90 on Friday would be the first of 2013. We don't normally see our first 90 until April 10 so it would be coming about a month early.
