Red Flag Warning, Wind Advisory this afternoon

TUCSON - The Sonoran Wind Machine cranks up for the second day in a row.

Southeastern Arizona is under a Red Flag Warning today until 8 PM, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Southwest winds up to 30 MPH along with low relative humidity creates a high fire danger this afternoon. 50 MPH wind gusts are possible in Cochise, Graham and Greenlee Counties. A Wind Advisory is out for these areas until 8 PM, with localized blowing dust possible along I-10 east of Benson.

The cold front responsible for today's winds sweeps across the state tomorrow. High temps barely reach the 70's Wednesday and Thursday, which is 9-12 degrees below average. Warmer weather returns by Friday with high pressure setting up over the eastern Pacific.
