SIERRA VISTA - Routine review of red-light camera violations helped lead Sierra Vista Police officers to the arrest of a suspect wanted for multiple felonies and listed on the Citizens Assisted Location List (CALL).
The red-light violation video showed a Dodge Dynasty that failed to stop at a red light while making a right turn at State Route 90 and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway (MLK) on September 23.
The officer reviewing the video ran the license plate on the vehicle and found that it did not match the make of the vehicle. Instead, the plates belonged to a Pontiac. The officer printed pictures of the vehicle and informed the patrol division the vehicle had a fictitious plate.
Officers from the traffic unit spotted the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot at 500 N. State Route 90 on November 8. The officer did a traffic stop as the vehicle left the parking lot and identified the driver as 41-year old Joshua Dylan Grissom of Sierra Vista. He was also confirmed as the driver in the September 23 red light violation video.
A drivers license and warrant check showed Grissom had a suspended drivers license and was wanted for multiple felonies including fraud and forgery. He was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Jail and is being held on $15,000 bond.
