Every morning Nichole takes you to the streets of Tucson from the comfort of your own home. Her goal as the 'Tucson Today' traffic anchor is to make your commute easier. From 'Prices at the Pump' to 'Cone Zone,' she's got you covered.
Nichole is thrilled to be back in her home state where the sun shines 365 days a year and the sunsets over the mountains take your breath away. The Arizona native graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication where she received the ‘Outstanding Undergraduate Student' award and was selected as the commencement speaker by her colleagues.
She began her journalism career as an anchor/reporter at KULR-8 in Billings, MT before joining WCIA in Central Illinois as the noon anchor. Nichole is an Emmy Nominated Traffic Anchor and has also won multiple awards from the Associated Press for her reporting. She is a two-time SPJ award winner in the spot news and investigative categories. She also received honors in the 2009 Joe Durso Awards for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism.
Volunteering and participating in a wide range of charity events, is something Nichole thoroughly enjoys. She's a believer in a strong, informed community and always strives to make an impact.
When Nichole isn't bringing you the latest on the roads, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, drinking a non-fat chai latte or snuggling with her long-haired Chihuahua, Pizzookie.
