LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say the gunman who killed five people in a rampage in Santa Monica last week left a note apologizing for killing his father and brother.
Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks said at a news conference Thursday that the three- to four-page note was found on John Zawahri's body after he was shot and killed by officers.
In the note, Zawahri also said goodbye to friends and expressed hope that his mother would be taken care of.
