TUCSON - Monsoon storms possible once again to kick off the weekend.
Leftover moisture will interact with a weak upper level disturbance for another round of scattered thunderstorms this afternoon.
The biggest threat with storms that develop today will be heavy rainfall. Flash flooding may become an issue, especially for areas hit hard on Friday like Santa Cruz and central Pima County.
Storms will also be capable of producing high winds, however, the blowing dust threat will be limited due to Friday's soaking rains in some of the dust prone areas.
High pressure sets up in a less favorable position for storm development by Monday bringing a downturn in monsoon activity. Daytime highs will remain near average for late July topping out near 100 degrees into next week.
