TUCSON - Police are looking for a Pima County Jail inmate who was temporarily released for an appointment and never returned.
The fugitive-- identified as 51-year-old Robert Nelson-- was picked up on July 31 by his girlfriend and failed to show up at his curfew later that night, deputy spokesman Jesus Banuelos said. He has since been deemed an escapee.
The Sheriff's Department Fugitive Investigative Strike Team and Superior Court will notified.
Nelson is a pre-trial defendant and was being held on an aggravated DUI charge. His license was revoked or suspended from a failure to appear in court back in 2012.
