TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for east central Pima County until 5 PM. This includes downtown Tucson and Saguaro National Park West.
Radar at 4:20 PM indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of damaging microburst winds, torrential rain and small hail moving north at 10 MPH.
News 4 Tucson's Lupita Murillo confirmed pea-sized hail falling at I-19 & Valencia around 4:10 PM today. Click the video above to see the Monsoon fury from her vantage point.
A Flood Advisory has been issued for the Tucson metro as well, in effect until 6:30 PM. Another Flood Advisory remains in effect for eastern Pima County until 5:45 PM, including Sahuarita and Vail.
