Shots-fired call uncovers marijuana grow operation on Fourth Avenue

TUCSON - Tucson Police responding to a shots fired call end up finding what appears to be a hydroponic grow operation.

Tucson Police tell News 4 officers responded to the shots fired call shortly after 7 p.m. in the 600 block of north 4th. The shots were fired outside the residence, not inside.

Upon investigating the area, police found a box of cash in an alley near the home and found a black Honda Accord around the corner with bullet holes in it.

Officers believe a black male came out of the house and started shooting at the Black Honda Accord, at which point two people got out and ran off.

Police worked to clear the house to make sure no one else was inside and found a hydroponic grow operation.

They are now working to get the necessary warrants to clear the inside of the home of that and investigate further.

At this point, there are no reports of any injuries, and there is one suspect who got away but police do not have a good description of him.
