TUCSON - Heat dominates this afternoon, but a newly minted tropical storm may bring one last hurrah for Monsoon 2014.
High pressure over the state supplies the 63rd 100° day of the year today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Lots of sunshine is anticipated this afternoon, giving way to clear skies tonight. Expect 100's to linger through Thursday.
Tropical Storm Norbert officially developed in the eastern Pacific this morning, which may potentially trigger a surge of moisture into the state later this week. Isolated storms return Thursday, with a better chance of scattered storms Friday into the weekend. Locally heavy rainfall appears to be the biggest threat at the moment.
As rain chances increase, temperatures decrease. Highs this weekend struggle to reach the low to mid 90's.
