Snagged lines cause power outage in midtown Tucson

TUCSON - At least two people are trapped in their vehicles under live electrical lines after an accident Thursday.

3600 people are without power.

The driver got caught under the lines when a dumpster truck driving near Oracle and Stone clipped some overhead lines, Tucson Police Department Sgt. Chris Widmer said.

The incident has caused power outages in the area between Oracle to the west and Mountain to the east. Speedway to the south and Grant to the north.
