TUCSON - You can't feature Arizona adventures without including horseback riding. In our final summer activity, Nichole Szemerei saddled up at Tanque Verde Ranch for an early morning breakfast ride and a little surprise fun to follow!
At 7:45 a.m. Nichole hopped on a speckled horse named Zodiac. One by one riders trotted through the beautiful desert, enjoying the sights and sounds that Tucson has to offer.
After about an hour, it's time to grub. The line is long and the feast is plentiful; eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, Tanque Verde Ranch has it all. The chef? None other than the owner, Bob Cote.
"It's a pretty ideal situation," for owner and riders alike.
From 4-years-old to the young at heart, there are all types of horseback options, but the breakfast ride is one of the most popular.
"It really makes the experience a rewarding experience for people. You can ask everybody, I think that's true. See these people have been here for 25 years almost," says Cote.
If pancakes aren't quite your thing, team penning can be a fun challenge. Groups work together to corral cows and it's not as easy as it looks.
Thank you so much to Bob, Richard and the rest of the crew for being so accommodating.
