TUCSON - Our above average temperature streak will eventually turn into the next winter storm.
Despite seeing partly cloudy skies this afternoon another round of highs in the 80s is on tap for Tucson, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. A weak weather disturbance moving through Northern Arizona will supply the cloud cover and a light breeze but any precipitation should stay well north of Tucson today.
Slightly cooler temps will start the work week in the wake of that weak front with highs in the mid 70s for Monday. Daytime highs heat right back up to near 80 for both Tuesday and Wednesday under mostly sunny skies.
The warm streak comes to an end as our next winter storm moves into the Desert Southwest Friday into Saturday. Much cooler temperatures with highs in the 50s expected by Saturday along with the chance of valley rain and mountain snow.
