Stabbing suspect's sweatshirt and backpack recovered

TUCSON - The Tucson Police Department has recovered a hooded sweatshirt and backpack believed to belong to a man who fatally stabbed a convenience store clerk.

They're asking for the public's help in identifying that suspect.

Police say a Caucasian or Hispanic man walked into the AM/PM on East Tanque Verde Road near Dos Hombres Road on May 17th.

He got into a confrontation with the clerk, 22-year-old Erick Bridges, before stabbing him.

Bridges died from his injuries.

The suspect is described as in his early 20s, about 5'07" to 5'08" tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and a dark colored backpack.

Anyone with information is urged to contact 911 or 88-Crime.
