Stars, stripes & a few storms

TUCSON - A few atmospheric fireworks for the 4th of July.

Morning clouds may lead to less storm activity versus yesterday, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Isolated storms are possible for Metro Tucson around and after 2 PM, with a better chance of scattered storms across Cochise, Graham and Greenlee Counties. The dust storm threat isn't as high as yesterday, but wash flooding may occur.

A few lingering storms can't be ruled out tonight for the fireworks displays.

More sunshine should lead to a better chance of scattered storms tomorrow across southern Arizona. Tuesday and Wednesday of next week also stand a chance of being active.
