TUCSON - Dry, hot and thunder-free this afternoon for the Old Pueblo.
A dry westerly flow aloft shoves Monsoon moisture toward the New Mexico state line, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Douglas, Bisbee, Willcox and points east may see a few isolated storms this afternoon. West of that line, expect mostly sunny skies and highs 6-8° above average for mid August.
Some Monsoon moisture returns by tomorrow as high pressure sets up over the southern half of the state. Isolated storms are possible across all of southeastern Arizona through early next week. The best chance for storms in Tucson looks to be Thursday.
