TUCSON - Active monsoon pattern keeps storm chances high into the work week.
It was another restless day for Monsoon 2013 as strong storms took off again across southern Arizona. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, the hardest hit area was northern Cochise and southern Graham Counties for the second straight day. Radar estimates showed over 2" of rain in this area which lead to a Flash Flood Warning.
Moisture will remain abundant as leftovers from Lorena continue to spill into the region. It could be a repeat performance with showers and storms likely as you head back to work Monday. Again the main threat will be periods of heavy rain leading flooding issues.
Scattered storms will be possible Tuesday before moisture starts to retreat by midweek. As storm chances dwindle later this week temperatures will climb back to normal values.
