Suspect killed in Glendale police shooting

GLENDALE - A man has died in the hospital after an officer-involved shooting Thursday morning.

Police say the 43-year-old man was wanted on a felony warrant when he was shot by a Glendale police detective in a parking lot of a shopping center.

A fugitive task was attempting to serve a warrant on the male suspect when he reportedly drove his car aggressively at officers and rammed several unmarked police vehicles.

The man was shot multiple times and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said there were no officers injured in the incident. The suspect was also being investigated by Glendale police for fraud and forgery.

Police say the man's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
