TUCSON - High pressure keeps temps 5-7 degrees above average well into this week.
Tucson will shoot for its third straight day with a high of 105 or greater, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. We could go for seven consecutive days with temps peaking at 105 before we a slight drop late this week.
The area of high pressure that is bringing the heat may not be all bad news for Southern Arizona. As this feature shifts east late this week some models agree that moisture will be drawn further up into Northern Mexico which is a good sign now less than a week away from the start of the monsoon.
