TUCSON - Friday weather has featured warmer air from the recent cool-down we've had. Temperatures are well into the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies.
More wind is in the forecast as Mother's Day weekend approaches. A storm system will pass by to our north on Saturday and Sunday, and temperatures will fall from the low 90s on Saturday to the mid 80s by Mother's Day. Both days look breezy with Sunday being the breezier of the two. Fire danger will be on the rise as the gusty winds combine with the very dry air.
The other big story is the much warmer air that settles into the region by next work-week. Mid to upper 90s look likely beginning by Wednesday, and Tucson could reach 100 degrees for the first time this year as soon as Thursday, and continuing into next weekend.
Have a great Mother's Day.
