TUCSON - A powerful winter storm is moving through the region today bringing with it gusty Southwest winds. Blowing dust remains a possibility along our highways through early Saturday.
By Saturday, rain will overspread the region and quell much of the dust concerns. It will remain windy with rain continuing throughout much of your Saturday. Anywhere from 0.5" - 1.00" can be expected by Sunday. Rain turns to isolated showers by midday Sunday.
In the mountains snow will be flying. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the White Mountains on Saturday, where up to 20" of new snow could fall. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Catalina and Rincon Mountains where up to a foot of snow can be seen. A Wind Advisory is all in effect on Saturday for Southern Cochise County.
