Threatening note shuts down Desert View High School

TUCSON - Students and staff at Desert View High School were evacuated Monday due to a "concerning" note found on a wall in the school, Tucson Police said.

The note was found by an off-duty officer. Tucson Police spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Hawke would not go into detail about the note's content.

Regardless, Tucson Police dispatched their explosive ordinance team to the school, Hawke said.

Officers believe the threat is not credible but are taking precautions.
