Ticket sold in Chandler wins $1 million in powerball drawing

PHOENIX - There was a winner from the $425 million Powerball drawing right here in Arizona, and even though they didn't win the big jackpot, they did win the $1 million second prize!

The ticket was sold in Chandler for the draw on Wednesday, Feb. 19. This is the 30th $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket sold in Arizona.

The winning ticket was sold at a retailer located at 7351 W. Chandler Blvd. The winning numbers were 1 - 17 - 35 - 49 - 54 PB 34. The winning ticket matched five out of five numbers drawn, not including the Powerball. Players can check their tickets by visiting ArizonaLottery.com. <http://www.arizonalottery.com/>

"We are thrilled that another Arizona player has won a $1 million Powerball second prize and that we had five $10,000 winners from last night's draw," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products, and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "We are excited that the number of new millionaires statewide is continuing to grow, and we look forward to presenting the check to the winner."

The sole winning ticket for the $425 million Powerball jackpot was sold in Milpitas, California. The winner has not yet come forward.

The next Powerball draw is on Saturday, Feb. 22, for an estimated $40 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.
