TUCSON - The Pima County Sheriff's Department has announced an increase in DUI enforcement efforts over the holiday season.
According to a media release from the Sheriff's Department, the dates the sobriety checkpoints will be taking place will include: December 8, 15, 22 and 29.
In addition to the sobriety checkpoints, there will "saturation patrols" with additional officers out on the streets.
Sheriff's officials state that in Decemeber, an average of 25 people a daydie in drunk driving crashes.
