TUCSON - Tucson Police Commanders met for most of the day to discuss Saturday night's riot.
Police Chief Roberto Villasenor tells News 4 Tucson three internal complaints were filed. Among them, a student who was seen on video being tackled by a TPD Sargent. Chief Villasenor says the video is "alarming".
"You look at it and you see the amount of force of pushing that lady over the bench, that's what we will be investigating. I am not going to make a judgement until I know all the facts."
He adds, they will be reviewing 50 videos from officers who were wearing cameras on their helmets. They will be talking to witnesses as well.
Other students who were there Saturday night, like Delany Cook, claim TPD overreacted. She says,"I just think they got way too aggressive. Yeah they had trash and beer cans thrown at them but they were shooting us with sandbags. I had pepper spray explode underneath me, I think that's extremely too far."
In the end, Chief Villasenor says there was little property damage, no one was seriously injured, and TPD dispersed the crowd within an hour.
