TPD investigating multiple bomb threats across Tucson

TUCSON - The Tucson Police Department is investigating at least two bomb threats made to stores around Tucson Saturday.

According to Tucson Police Sergeant Pete Dugan, someone called the Walgreens at Broadway and Houghton at 11:06 a.m. Saturday morning saying a bomb was in the store.

TPD responded and evacuated the store. Officers cleared the store and found no suspicious devices.

Earlier Saturday morning officers responded to another bomb threat at the Dollar Store located at 3927 E. Grant Saturday morning, Dugan said.

In both cases detectives determined the bomb threats were a hoax.

Dugan said detectives believe the cases are related.
