TUCSON - Tucson Police are saying the suspicious package does appear to be explosive.
Silverlake has since been reopened, but the package has been removed to a safe place for a more detailed inspection, Tucson Police said.
The suspicious package had a section of Silverlake closed off Tuesday. A person discovered the suspicious package near the Silverbell Inn, between Interstate 10 and Santa Cruz on Silverbell, Tucson Police said.
The person, according to a sergeant on the scene, picked up the package and walked it across the street to the Silverbell Inn. A disposal team was dispatched to take care of the bomb. Here are some shots of the scene:
