PIMA COUNTY - If you live along Romero Road large paving trucks may be a welcome sight on Wednesday as an improvement project begins to wrap up.
The Pima County Department of Transportation says crews will be paving Romero Road between Roger Road and Wetmore Road starting Wednesday, as part of the Homer Davis Transportation Enhancement Project.
Work begins at 7:00 a.m.
The paving sequence will be as follows: east side (northbound lanes); west side (southbound lanes); and center lanes along Romero Road. Two lanes of traffic, one in each direction (north and south), will be maintained at all times. Traffic will be shifted accordingly as crews work through the area.
Flag personnel will be on hand to direct motorists through the area. Paving is expected to be completed by Friday, May 9, 2014. Motorists can expect minor delays.
