TUCSON - On Saturday, the Tucson Fire Department is holding Swim Safe Saturday - a free family-friendly event to educate the public and raise awareness about child drowning - the second leading cause of death and injury to children in Arizona.
The event will feature Alex the Ambulance from Southwest Ambulance, a 40-foot climbing wall from the National Guard, free eegee's, and fire apparatus displays. There will also be booths from various vendors and services with information related to swim safety, organizer state in a news release.
Swim Safe Saturday will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union, 9725 E. Broadway.
