TUCSON- The Tucson Police Department's Larceny Detail arrested a man on June 19 for stealing over $5,500 in cigarettes from local convenient stores.
According to TPD, 32-year-old Michael Pruyn is believed to have robbed 14 stores between May 27 and June 19.
Detectives discovered nearly 100 packs of cigarettes inside Pruyn's residence after serving a search warrant, TPD said.
TPD said he has been selling the stolen cigarettes for profit.
Pruyn was charged with one count of Trafficking in Stolen Property, Burglary and Theft and booked into the Pima County Jail. TPD said he could face additional felony charges.
