TUCSON - A Tucson man is under arrest, accused of having child sexual abuse images on a computer in his home.
Richard Braun, 50, was taken into custody on April 18.
Investigators were led to Braun after a tip was sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in January. The tip suggested some images of possible child sexual abuse had been uploaded to an online data storage website.
The tip was routed through the Phoenix Police Department, which is standard procedure.
Then, in March, detectives from the Tucson Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) received the tip and launched an investigation.
The detectives determined that the images had been uploaded from a home in the 1500 block of West Greenlee, near Prince and Flowing Wells.
On April 18, a search warrant was served at the home and investigators found child sexual abuse images on the computer there. Personnel from the U.S. Marshal's Service assisted with locating the sole occupant of the home at his place of business and that's where Braun was taken into custody.
He is charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony offense.
