Tucson mother seeks justice in son's 2011 death

TUCSON - A Tucson mother begging for your help in tracking down the man deputies say is responsible for her son's death.

Ramon Jesus Steele, 25 and known as Jesse, was killed in a car accident back in June 2001.

One of two passengers in a car that went off the road and into a tree on Drexel just west of Mission. Jesse died at the scene.

Now the search is on for the driver, 27-year-old Reyes Jovan Miranda.

Jesse's mother says her son not only knew Reyes Miranda, they were actually good friends since high school. Now nearly two years after his death, she's on a mission to get justice for Jesse.

"He was one of those that was a good, kindhearted person he would do anything for anybody," Jesses mother Malisa Steele said.

"The pain that I've gone through the last year, 11 months and 24 days i can't even tell you how bad it hurts," she added.

A son, brother fiancee... And father -- Left to die in a crashed car on the side of the road.

During the investigation... Deputies discovered this man Reyes Miranda was behind the wheel that night. Now wanted on charges of manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.

"I wanted to find him myself and hurt him myself but then I thought, it wasn't going to do any justice for Jesse, the justice for him is for him to pay for what he's done."

Deputies say Miranda may be in Mexico but they've also gotten word of possible sightings in Phoenix. Every bit of information helps. If you know anything call 911 or 88-crime.
