Tucson police fatally shoot man

TUCSON - Tucson police fatally shot a man on the South Side Saturday.

Around 7 p.m. they got a call about a man and woman physically fighting outside the Pueblo Center near Irvington Road and 6th Avenue.

The caller said the man had a handgun.

Officers responded about 2 minutes later. At least one of the officers fired and killed the man.

Police could not immediately confirm if the man fired at the officers or if he even had a gun.

Homicide and Internal Affairs will investigate.
