Tucson Police Officer's gun missing

TUCSON - A Tucson Police officer's gun is missing following a foot chase Monday. It happened around noon after the officer chased a purse snatching suspect in the area of 500 block of North Shawnee Avenue, near Silverbell and St. Mary's.

The officer had chased the suspect for more than 1/8th of a mile before catching him. The officer didn't notice his gun was gone until the chase was over. The gun pictured is similar to the weapon that's missing. It's a Glock 22 Gen4, 40 caliber with an affixed StreamLight tactical light, serial number
RVS121. Officers immediately began retracing the path of the foot chase but the weapon was not located.

The suspect in the purse snatching has been identified as 18-year old Adrian Pride. He was booked into the Pima County Jail for 1 count of shoplifting and 1 count of theft.
