Tucson Police searching for bank robbery suspect

TUCSON - Tucson Police are looking for a man they say robbed a bank inside a Safeway store Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the suspect walked into the US Bank inside the Safeway grocery store at 1940 East Broadway and gave the teller a threatening note demanding money.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and ran off.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, 5'11" tall, weighing approximately
185 pounds, with a medium to dark complexion and a "goatee" style beard. He was last seen wearing a dark colored U of A t-shirt (possibly over a light colored shirt), dark colored pants, a dark colored baseball-style hat (worn backwards), and sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
