SOUTH TUCSON - A Tucson resident claimed second prize, a $1 million win, in the Powerball this afternoon after purchasing his ticket at a market in South Tucson.
As the nationwide frenzy for Powerball comes to a close, one lucky Tucson man got quite the consolation prize.
The Tucson resident who hit it big at the T & T Market on 6th Avenue claimed his winnings this afternoon.
While the lucky Powerball player wants to remain anonymous for now, on this is certain: he trusted his gut and in the end it paid off big.
"I'm glad I listened to my hunch to buy a lottery ticket late in the day Wednesday," he said.
