TUCSON - Tucson's own "Giant George", formerly the world's tallest dog, has died.
According to his public relations agent, the Great Dane passed away yesterday.
George held the Guiness Book of World's Records tallest dog title from 2010 until 2012, when he was bumped by a Great Dane from Michigan named Zeus.
George stood 43 inches high and weighed 245 pounds. Zeus measured 44 inches tall.
George appeared on News 4 at 4:00 several times with his owner.
