Tucson sees warmest day of year so far

TUCSON - Southern Arizona experiences warmest day of the year so far.

High pressure over the West Coast drives temperatures ten degrees above average with Tucson topping 96 degrees this afternoon. Places like Phoenix hit the 100 degree mark for the first time in 2014.

We'll see a similar forecast for Sunday with highs back into the mid 90s for Tucson under sunny skies.

A system will dip out of the Pacific Northwest and bring changes as we head into the upcoming work week. Breezy to windy conditions will return Monday through Wednesday with the windiest day likely to occur on Tuesday. With gusts up to 35mph, we'll have to watch for Red Flag Warnings and patchy blowing dust.

Cooler temperatures accompany this system with highs back into the low 80s for midweek. Check out your True View 4 extended forecast here.
