TUCSON- From the gifts we'd rather not keep, to the gift cards we can't wait to spend, crazed shoppers hit the stores this day after Christmas.
"I'm looking for some jackets and sweaters for the cold weather that will probably be coming up," says Shopper Taylor Cole.
In one word, it's crazy. "Yea it's packed," Cole says. "I had a really hard time finding a parking spot too."
But many shoppers say year after year it's the after Christmas sales that drive them to the shopping insanity. "We like to hit the perfume sales," says Shopper Brett Dodds.
Whatever the reason, the crowds keep retailers happy.
Nation-wide pre-Christmas sales were the lowest in four years. "Obviously we would have liked for things to be a bit better, but it is what it is and we have to deal with it and move on," says Drew Kallen, the store manager at Game Daze.
Of course, it's only Wednesday.
Retailers hope after a day like today, plus the weekend, they'll get a boost.
