TUCSON - A Tucson student beat 26 other students to win the Arizona Educational Foundation Spelling Bee contest in Phoenix Saturday.

Seventh-grader Christopher O'connor correctly spelled the word "temblor" in the 12th round to win.

O'connor attends St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic School.

The 13-year-old received a trophy, along with 800 dollars, a dictionary and a Rosetta Stone language course.

He'll head to Washington, D.C. in May to represent Arizona in the 86th Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee contest.
