TUCSON - An elderly woman is hospitalized after nearly drowning in the pool at her retirement living community Friday afternoon.
She was found floating in the pool at Fellowship Square on Broadway and Pantano, according to Tucson Fire Department spokesman Capt. Barrett Baker.
CPR was performed and the woman was taken to a hospital where she is receiving treatment, Baker said.
The extent of her injuries is not available at this time.
According to their website, Fellowship Square is a "Christian Care Community" for retired people. Their website states that they offer an array of services geared toward all lifestyles including both independent and assisted living.
We do not know what, if any, care this woman was receiving.
News 4 Tucson has a crew at the scene.
