NEW YORK - Television star, Valerie Harper has confirmed she has terminal brain cancer.
Harper is most noted for her portrayal of Rhoda Morgenstern on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and its spin off, "Rhoda."
The 73-year-old actress told People magazine, "I don't think of dying, I think of being here now." Harper said she was told by doctors on Jan. 15 that she has a condition known as leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, and may have as little as three months to live.
"I've had a good run," she told People. "What more could I ask for?"
In January, Harper published her memoir, "I, Rhoda."
